As the Algonquin Township Supervisor, Randy Funk’s role is to act as chief executive officer of the Township and chairman of the Board of Trustees. The Supervisor’s duties also include Supervisor of the General Assistance program and Treasurer of all Town Funds, Township cemetery funds and Road District funds. The Supervisor administers the state-mandated General Assistance fund, which provides limited financial assistance for qualifying Township residents in need. The Supervisor and staff manage all services for the Township and act as a referral to direct residents to additional social services within McHenry County.
