Crystal Lake Health Foods was founded in 1971 by the late Bob Edwards, a mechanical engineer by trade, who developed a passion for nutrition after his dog was diagnosed with epilepsy and diabetes. Putting the concepts of health pioneers like Adelle Davis and Betty Lee Morales into practice, Bob helped his dog overcome these illnesses and go on to live a long, healthy life. His commitment to the study and application of advanced nutrition built the foundation upon which our store continues to stand.
