ECC SEEKS TRUSTEE CANDIDATES FOR APPOINTMENT DUE TO VACANCY The Board of Trustees of Community College District 509, Elgin Community College, announces a vacancy on the Board of Trustees due to the resignation of Jeffrey A. Meyer, JD. Under Illinois law, the board will appoint a trustee to fill the vacant seat from December 17, 2021, until the next consolidated election on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. A candidate must be: 1. A citizen of the United States, 2. Of the age of 18 years or over, and 3. A resident for at least one year immediately preceding the election of the state and the territory which, on the date of the election, is included in the community college district. (ECC District 509 is comprised of unit school districts U-46, 300, 301, and 303.) If you are interested in being considered for this appointment, please send an up-to-date resume, references, and a letter explaining your knowledge of, or interest and experience in public community colleges, and in particular why you wish to serve as a trustee at Elgin Community College.
